“The Prospect is the latest analogue interconnect in the Neutralis line up. It is the product of much thought and process analysis in the "trickle down" process brought about by adopting a simpler geometry resulting in a less labour intensive product and thereby being more cost effective. The philosophy and the standards in manufacturing that are part of the other Neutralis interconnects are maintained. The Prospect is a superb sounding product and as with all Neutralis products it competes with products way beyond its price point."
Designed to have minimal influence on the transmission of the audio signal within its design parameters. Totally handmade; from the first step of polishing the high purity copper conductors to finished product. Can be made to specified lengths.
Very low capacitance.
Three things determine capacitance in a cable. They are length, geometry and dielectric material.
The Prospect interconnects have very low capacitance for the following reasons;
Literal air dielectric is used between the two conductors in 50% of the design. In the areas where air dielectric is not feasible, low dielectric constant materials are used. Even the outer body of the interconnect uses low dielectric constant material.
Spacing between the conductors.
Skin-effect occurs since the high-frequency currents tend to flow on the outer "skin" of the conductors whereas lower frequencies are more uniform in current distribution across the conductor cross-section. Correct gauge of conductors result in all frequencies flowing more evenly in the conductors, thus minimising skin-effect. Neutralis carefully selects conductor gauge to facilitate optimum frequency response across the spectrum.
